We can restore a gap in your smile with a dental bridge, helping you to develop confidence and chewing function again.
There are several different bridge types available:
A Conventional Bridge – the most commonly used type of bridge. These bridges use two neighbouring teeth on either side to help anchor the new prosthetic tooth or teeth in place.
A Maryland or Bonded Bridge – requires two teeth as support, without the need for drilling the adjacent teeth. It uses either a porcelain or metal frame attached to the back of the neighbouring teeth as anchors, rather than a dental crown.
Cantilever Bridges – require neighbouring tooth or teeth on one side of the gap as anchors.
What to expect during the treatment:
We’ll take an impression or digital image of the mouth so that we can understand how the teeth bite together.
We’ll then prepare the ‘anchor’ teeth so that the bridge and fixings can securely and comfortably fit.
We’ll take another impression or digital image – this will be used by the laboratory for the fabrication of the bridge.
Once your personal bridge has been made, we will fit it for you at the practice.
Bridges can be used to replace one or several missing teeth, using neighbouring teeth as support, they are designed to quite literally ‘bridge’ a gap in a smile, improving and restoring function.
In many cases, we may supply a temporary bridge or dental crown while your final bridge is being made. This means you don’t have to put up with gaps in your teeth as you wait for your permanent bridge to be fabricated.

Dr Sia gave me an overall teeth cleaning session with Air Flow. He explained what he was going to do next and also gave advice on my dental health and treatments. I booked via Treatwell, the value is very good. You don’t need to pay extra being a new patient like other private dental clinics. Totally recommend it!
My experience was faultless. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the results were outstanding. My teeth have never looked or felt better and I didn't even get the sensitivity I've experienced with treatments elsewhere. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.
It was my first visit to dentist in the last couple of years and first ever after arrival to the UK last June. Simon was extremely friendly, welcoming and made me relax. He professionally explained me what’s going on with my teeth and where I could focus to improve my health further. Dream doctor!
