Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns can be used to address:

• Teeth weakened from wear and tear.
• Chipped and cracked teeth from injury.
• Damaged teeth from decay.
• Worn-down teeth, due to mechanical forces, erosion, abfraction or attrition.

What to expect during the treatment:

Dental Crowns are usually applied over two appointments. This may increase if the case is complex.

1. At the first appointment, we’ll remove decayed parts of the tooth before preparing and reshaping the tooth for the dental crown.
2. We’ll take impressions or digital images of the tooth and send them off to our skilled dental technicians who will make your bespoke, personal dental crown.
3. Once your dental crown is ready, you’ll come back into the practice to have it fitted and cemented into place.

In most cases, we’ll be able to provide patients with a temporary dental crown between appointments.
